Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy governs how you may use SekurMail (operated by Intellect Service Consulting Company, McKinney, Texas, USA). It is incorporated into, and forms part of, the SekurMail Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree to this AUP. We may update it; continued use means acceptance.

Because SekurMail is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot proactively read message content to police it. This makes your own compliance, and community reporting, essential. The tools below (reporting, forced retention, watermarking, suspension, and ban) are how we enforce this policy despite not seeing content.

1. You may not use SekurMail to

Harm people

• Threaten, stalk, harass, bully, or intimidate anyone, or incite others to do so.
• Engage in, promote, or facilitate violence, terrorism, or violent extremism.
• Exploit, endanger, or sexualize minors in any way. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is absolutely prohibited; we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement.
• Engage in human trafficking or coordinate the sale of people.

Break the law or facilitate crime

• Traffic illegal drugs, weapons, or other contraband; launder money; or commit or facilitate fraud, phishing, or identity theft.
• Distribute stolen data, credentials, or others' private information (“doxxing”).
• Infringe intellectual property or misappropriate trade secrets.

Abuse the Service and other users

• Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, chain messages, or automated/mass unsolicited contact.
• Circumvent blocks, recall, message-expiry, view-once, forwarding controls, or any safety or rate-limiting feature.
• Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Harvest identifiers or scrape the directory/contact-discovery system.

Attack the platform

• Probe, scan, or breach security or authentication; attempt to defeat rate limits, quotas, or abuse controls; reverse-engineer to circumvent security (except where such reverse engineering is expressly permitted by law and not to break security).
• Introduce malware; conduct denial-of-service; or interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Use the Service to distribute malware or as command-and-control infrastructure.

2. Reporting and enforcement

• Reporting content. A recipient can report a message they received. Because they already hold the decrypted copy, reporting discloses that message to us as evidence. Report abuse to abuser@sekurmail.com or, where available, via the in-app report control.
• Forced retention (legal hold). Where SekurMail has enabled this control (it is off by default), a reported message is retained as tamper-evident evidence, exempt from recall/deletion/expiry, and may be disclosed to authorities.
• Watermarking. Content may be watermarked so a leaked or misused copy can be traced.
• Actions we may take. For violations we may, at our discretion and without liability: remove affected access, suspend or rate-limit, ban an account or device, block an IP, preserve and disclose evidence as legally permitted, and report to authorities. Certain violations trigger automatic suspension on report thresholds; serious violations (e.g., CSAM) result in immediate action and mandatory reporting. Enforcement decisions are not guaranteed to be preceded by warning.

3. Copyright / DMCA

To report copyright infringement, send a notice with the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to our designated agent at dmca@sekurmail.com. We respond to valid notices and terminate repeat infringers.

4. Reservation

We do not monitor content and are not responsible for it, but nothing here limits our right to act on violations we learn of. This AUP does not create third-party rights. Questions: abuser@sekurmail.com.
